The Rome Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Business After Hours reception on Thursday, Jan. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. to help kick off the yearlong celebration of Zion Church’s 200th anniversary as a parish in Rome, NY. Chimo’s will cater the event, which will include light refreshments, a church tour, and displays that highlight significant moments in Zion’s history. The program will also describe numerous events planned during 2025 that reflect Zion’s rich history and continued service to the Rome community that has supported the parish since its founding on Aug. 16, 1825.
